You will need to submit three items:

1. Executive Summary (+attachments):  A 1-page Word document template will be provided. The template will ask for two types of information: 

COMPANY 

• Company Overview (Elevator Pitch)

• Customer Overview (Customer Need)

• Our Unique Value to Customers

• Market Validation & Traction

• Competitors & Competitive Advantage

• Management Team

FINANCIALS 

• Start Date

• Milestones (Funding/Partnerships)

• Revenue & Forecast

• Market Size & Opportunity

• Revenue Model (pricing, how you collect money, etc.)

2. Company Video: 3-minute Kickstarter style video, highlighting what your company offers.

3. Business Video: 2-minute brief investor pitch style video, highlighting your financials.

Importance of Videos

This is your chance to put your best foot forward and gain some recognition, so we encourage you create high quality videos.

During the first rounds of judging, your videos and executive summaries will be shared with 300 external judges with experience in venture capital and startups. 

For help creating high quality videos, here are some resources:

• BYU Student Film Association: contact Lorenzo Hubbert at hubbert.lorenzo@gmail.com to connect with student filmmakers

• Connect with local marketing/video experts in “Utah Marketing Alliance” page on Facebook

• Find YouTube channels on how to create videos (Kickstarter channel has some good tips).

• If you are a STEM company, apply for the I-Corps Grant. It’s easy!
